Mr. T got home (to Jersey) late Tuesday night. I don't think I've ever driven to his house so fast. Haha. I kept catching myself smiling for no reason for the next day or so, he makes me so happy.
We went to his soccer game on base last night and then had dinner at the Sonic drive-in. He sure loves that place! I'm not incredibly impressed, but I can handle it once in a while, and last night he offered it as an alternative to McDonald's, which was definitely not on my list.
We decided that we're going to have our first party at the apartment on Saturday! Mr. T is ordering a UFC fight that's on pay-per-veiw and he's buying a dining room table for the event. I think I might be more excited about the table than he is, but I've been dying to get that place looking a little more domestic and a little less...universal closet explosion? maybe? Since he doesn't have much furniture or decor, everything is just kinda everwhere. So we have some major cleaning to do. In my mind, I'm feeling overly ambitious and seeing visions of paint cans, but I know we don't have time for that. Tell me, ladies, what are your favorite easy/cheap party ideas?
I had a long heart-to-heart with one of my managers at work about the situation that happened earlier this week. (Play catch-up here) I felt a lot better after I'd talked about my concerns and the tension I feel between myself and the new store manager, only to find that she'd felt that tension too when this woman had first started (which really wasn't that long ago). I was supposed to go into work this afternoon, but they called me yesterday to say that they were over on hours and were changing my shift to another on-call. Am I surprised? No, not really. But I'm over it, for the most part.
I've been contemplating not returning for to Ohio for my last semester at MU. *gasp* I know, in some ways it would seem like a stupid idea, because I am only one semester away from getting my BA. But now that I know I'm not going to use any of the classes I'm registered for this next semester in my nursing career (ok, maybe one will be useful) and I also know the physical and emotional toll that being away and taking 18 credits will have on me. I don't know what to do. There may be a way to lighten my course load a little if I go back, but not by much. I also would have to find enough classes to take here until I start nursing school to stay a full-time student in order to keep my health insurance. What's a girl to do?

One semester away? That's so close... =/
The main thing you need to ask yourself is: Am I going to regret this later?
If the answer is no, then by all means don't go back. But if you'd even have a tiny bit of guilt for not finishing then you should just stick it out. It's only one semester, after all.
Hope things turn out well, and have a great time at the party! =)
One semester is nothing. You can totally do it and have a B.A. which is pretty important. can you take the classes or at least 18 hours worth maybe online? That way you could stay in NJ.
party ideas? in my experience, i've found that no one cares if you decorate as long as you have a lot of good food and a lot of stuff to drink (alcoholic and non). we have a huge 4th of july party that we help host every year and this year we ran out of snacky type food and had way too much of meal food - this is what happens when people don't tell you what they're bringing! so, other party wisdom - find out what people are intending to bring (if you're having them bring anything at all) - that way you can pick up everything else! have fun!
I hope you make the best decision, but I think you can do it! You can kick ass in one more semester! It's a huge accomplishment to have a B.A. even if at the time it may seem like it won't be of use in the nursing area. You may have more opportunities once you get your B.A.
Have a great weekend!
One semester...you can do it girl! BUT I support you either way, just don't want you to do soemthing you might regret later on. Is online a possibility?1
I'm so glad the work sitch is a bit better!!
Soooo happy Mr. T is home! XO
For cheap/easy parties I like "dessert" night. The menu would be so easy! Anything sweet. Target has great things that make it simple to put together awesome tarts and pastries, they have chocolate cups that you can fill with an instant mousse. You could also have any other dessert you want. Or make it a fun thing for everyone to pitch in on and ask guests to bring their favorite dessert.
Besides the food all you need for a good party is a little atmosphere (decent music and lighting) and people who like to socialize together. I've found that after the food, everything else is...cake!
You'll have to let me know how the party went... We went to a party Saturday night at one of Oh-C's co-worker's house and watched a ppv UFC fight. Omg. Lol.
Hmm on the school thing, it sounds like not returning to Ohio may be a good idea, but I definitely think you should finish your bachelors, regardless of where you do it. Also, keep in mind that many places you have to attend the last 60 hours there to receive your degree, so that could be a huge problem.
